  1. Hi Ali, thought I should introduce myself since I have been stalking your blog for a while. I am Leigh and live in Brisbane. I have been doing my first ivf / ICSI cycle also and am currently 1 day past a 2 day transfer. Our cycles seem to be quite similar in terms of drugs we are taking etc etc.. so I have been watching what you have been doing, as you were doing everything a couple of days before me :) We have male factor infertility and I also have only 1 fallopian tube from a cyst removal last year. We retrieved 6 eggs of which 5 fertilised and transferred one on day 2. Hoping to have something to freeze! I look forward to reading about your BFP soon!

    1. Hi Leigh, thanks for introducing yourself - and it's very exciting to 'meet' someone who's almost at the exact same point on our first IVF cycle. How've you found it so far? Fingers crossed you have a bunch to freeze. Do you find out tomorrow?

  2. I've surprisingly found it ok so far. I was expecting worse symptoms because just in life in general I am prone to migraines, drug allergies & mood swings, however I've had none of that and really only just had bloating, sore tummy since egg pick up and slightly sore boobs. The worst part is the money and not knowing if it will even work! I am going to call the lab tomorrow to find out if we have anything to freeze. I asked the lab guy the other day if it was looking promising, and he replied that he didn't like to say this early as people get their hopes up, but he does think we probably will :D

I was excited to find your blog as most other things I read on the net were from people overseas and they seem to do things differently & take different meds etc... SO THANKS!!

  4. YAY for symptoms!
    Always a good sign.
Just wait till your silverware tastes like metal and your husband finds you licking all the silverware in the drawer, lol.
That was the moment when I thought omg! this could be so real!
And it was and still is!

    Happy 2dp5dt!!!

  5. You look great. I am keeping my fingers crossed that these symptoms keep progressing and that you have a little egg snuggling in tight!

  6. I'm new to these parts, and WOW - how great that you've got a happy blasty hopefully implanting there, and 2 frosties. Jealous! I had a rubbish first round of IVF and yours sounds wonderful.

Good luck on your journey! x
