  1. Stool softeners are great. You can take up to 3 a day. That will help with the constipation; along with fluids.
I am in prayer for you Ali! I hope that your ER goes well and that fertilization is awesome. I want your experience to be NOTHING like mine.
The power of positive thinking is amazing and just try and focus all of your happy energy towards this retrieval and transfer. Good Luck to you, sweet girl! You got some serious prayers coming from Sweet Home Alabama! =)

Please contact me if you need ANYTHING. Our time differences are weird- it's 6:47AM here in Alabama right now.

  2. You are going to do great tomorrow. I got some Miralax before my retreival and it seemed to work great. Make sure they give you some Zofran in your injection so when you wake up tomorrow the nausea isnt that bad.

  3. So excited for you tomorrow. Metamucil worked for me! Get some funny movies lined up. You'll do great. Good luck.

  4. Get a cheap pair of walkie-talkies so you can give one to Chop and call to him whenever you need him to get something for you, help you up off the couch, etc. Don't feel guilty if your body takes longer than you thought to "bounce back" -- this is totally normal -- and let him help you. That first day or two after your transfer, take Tylenol every 4 hours whether you feel you need it or not (by the time you are in pain it's too late and the Tylenol takes forever to kick in). If you are freaking out with worry about OHSS, call your nurse as often as you need to in order to check on your symptoms. I was so worried something was wrong and when I finally called my nurse she told me I was OK, and that really helped to ease my mind (and I wish I had called her earlier!) Rent a bunch of fun movies that will put you in a good mood to make the time pass faster. Watch sitcoms! Good luck with your egg retrieval -- tomorrow is US Independence Day and I'm taking 5 days off, but I'll try to check in on my phone and see how you're doing! Keep that chin up, girl!

  5. Good luck! I didn't have a problem with constipation, but gatorade will help keep some of the hormones in check. I'm so excited for you!
