Still pregnant.
Still getting bigger by the day.
Still becoming more and more uncomfortable.
Still waiting to meet our baby boy.
Friday night we were thinking it was "go time". Contractions began and came every 18 minutes. This lasted from about 9:30pm until about 5am... and then it stopped. Needless to say, I had a very shit sleep that night. Disappointed that nothing progressed.
Saturday evening the same thing happened! 2 very uncomfortable nights of fitful sleep between pains. The contractions on Saturday night were a lot worse than the night before, but they didn't become any closer together than about 18 minutes.
On both occasions I put off calling the hospital, because the contractions were still so spaced out and I didn't want to be a nuisance. It's probably a good thing because it was all fake contractions anyway.
We've been trying everything to get things started. Each day we've gone out and walked the neighbourhood for about 30 - 40 mins (around 2km), and whenever we take these walks I always experience a massive tightening of my uterus throughout the walk, but it always stops. I've eaten hot chillis, we've tried sex, I'm guzzling rasberry leaf tea, we've been watching comedy movies, we've cleaned the house, I've been baking and cooking loads, I've tried yoga.... but there's still no sign of him wanting to come out yet.
My belly is constantly moving into weird shapes from him trying to stretch out in what little room must be left in there. Or perhaps he just doesn't know the way out so he's attempting to push himself out near my ribs, or my side. Sometimes I feel a kind of punching downward feeling in my pelvis, and I almost expect this to cause my water to break because its so forceful, but no.
I think he's just shy and needs some encouragement.

I thought for sure he was going to make his grand entrance already! You made him to comfortable in there and now he doesn't want to come out, lol.
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, fingers crossed you will go into labor any time!
I reached a point where I was so uncomfortable and miserable that I decided, "Tomorrow morning I'm calling my doctor and insisting on an induction immediately!". Went to bed. 1 1/2 hours later I went into labor! Come on, little one! We're all dying to meet you!!!
